THE SEVEN CHURCH AGES

The Seven Church Ages

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. (Revelation 1:7, 11 KJV)

Ephesus 117years - Paul
Smyrna 142year - Irenaeus
Pergamos 294years- Martin
Thyatira 914years- Columba
Sardis 230years- Martin Luther
Philadelphia 156years- John Wesley
Laodicea to date 107years (2013)- Elijah (Malachi 4)

A little study I have made on the seven church ages shows that the Thyatira age lasted longest - 914years and the first church age Ephesus) was the shortest besides the last church age (Laodicea) which will usher in the coming of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus made this statement referring to the last Church Age, Laodicea;

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Matthew 24:22 KJV)

So far, up to this year (2013) we have had 107years of this last age. From Jesus' statement, I assume this age could be the shortest of all the ages.

It is therefore imperative that we get ourselves ready for the coming of the our Lord Jesus. Mind you, no man knows when He will come and He will come as a thief in the night. That will really take many people unaware. Many preachers will be left behind and they will continue to preach about repentance and the coming of The Lord when in fact, mercy is over and that "he that is holy will be holy still and he that is filthy will be filthy still.

Remember the 10 virgins. Five were wise and the other five were fools because they did not get oil (Holy Ghost) in their lamps. So the bridegroom came in the night when they were least expecting Him. You need the Holy Ghost before you die or before He comes. Otherwise, there is no hope for you.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3 KJV)

Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand!
